Welcome to The Nation

Welcome to what we have come to affectionaltely call "The Nation" and we hope you will find what you are looking for here; if not, drop us a line and let us know. Maybe we can do something about it. You never know until you ask.

"What is the whole point of this website?" you ask. Well, let me give you a snapshot. This community was founded on the idea and belief that everyone has something to offer someone else. It doesn't have to be materialistic goods. It may just be support during a difficult time in their life or an encouraging word when someone is unsure. Help someone make a connection with someone who has a skill, like woodworking, who may be able to help repair a piece of furnature or create a piece for someone as a gift.

Donations can be made for our special projects where we find an individual or a family with a need and help to fill that need at an unexpected time from an unexpected source. How would it make you feel if someone showed up at your doorstep and presented you with help that you could not have otherwise found? Families whose house burn down, who lose a child to an illness, an elderly couple who are struggling to obtain a piece of medical equipment so one or both of them won't have to move to an assisted living facility?

To link your account to Facebook and simultaneously update your status in both places click HERE for step-by-step instructions.

Vote on what should be done with money in the jug -- go to "The Nation's Vote" tab and cast your ballot.

Dealing With Loss

Personal loss and grieving is something we can all relate to. But there is miuch more to loss than just this. We lose more than just those we care about and respect. Illness, the loss of a career, a home, a friendship or marriage...these are all different forms of loss but each can have a major impact on our lives. What have you…See More
